My Exciting Journey

Sometimes you have to wait for a long time for your Prince to show up.  Sometimes you have to kiss a lot of toads before it happens.  But God never forgets His promises to his children.  He is faithful…always.

When I was a little girl my heroes were missionaries. I thought what they did was so exciting and adventurous.  If not for my fourth grade teacher I wouldn’t have known what a missionary was since my family did not take us to church.  My teacher’s best friend was a missionary to British Guyana and the stories she would come tell us kept me on the edge of my seat.

I always, always knew that God had a plan for my life. I just didn’t know how He would do it.  I always knew that He would use me and that I would travel but didn’t know how it would happen with the way my life was.  But…He never forgets.

Your life can change suddenly and I found myself free to follow God and do His will. All He needs is a willing heart and He can work wonders.  I didn’t want any man in my life…me and God would be just fine.  But then suddenly…..Chris Bennett happened.

God is clever you know.  There I was, minding my own business and this cute little Englishman kept popping up in my Twitter stream.  I loved his name on Twitter “cgbrofmi”. Had no idea what it was but I kept trying to pronounce it! LOL..didn’t work but I found myself fascinated by his blog, “Thoughts of a Wandering Christian” and commented on it.  Little by little we found ourselves chatting on Twitter and then it happened. We fell head over heels in love! That God.  He’s a wonderful matchmaker!  Chris is the best thing that ever happened to me outside of Jesus and my Salvation.

This all happened last May 2010. We married on November 5, 2010 and couldn’t be happier.  We fall in love again every day.

Did I mention that Chris is a member of a traveling ministry called Rivers of Fire Ministries International (ROFMI) and that when we married I joined him?? Now I get to travel with him and serve the Lord with him.

Just like the Lord promised when I was a little girl.  God is so good to me.
